Mini Bus

Mini Bus Scheme

As member of the Community Transport Association, our mini bus transport service is a scheme to keep the voluntary organisations, sports clubs, community or faith groups, schools and charities of the Tees Valley on the Move. #driveforwardteesvalley

Our two 16-seat fully wheelchair accessible minibuses can be booked with or without a driver for as little as a few hours or for as long as a weekend.

Drivers – Groups and organisations are able to use their own drivers. A valid UK drivers’s licence will need to be checked and for insurance reasons drivers have to be aged 21-69 and been driving a minimum of 2 years. All your driver would need is a short 30 min induction along with your groups membership.  If your groups doesn’t have a driver, TVRA has a pool of volunteer drivers, who continue to give their time freely – please ask for details when you book.

Cost – Currently we have an annual membership scheme of £30, renewable each April.  Each journey is then calculated based on estimated miles travelled which covers the costs of running the mini buses and volunteer expenses.  Each journey is estimated using your own postcodes and a confirmed price is then invoiced/billed once the mini bus has returned to the base.
